Put a claim through the 2024 pipeline

Retrieval and classification run on the server with the TypeScript ports of the original code. The difference is the corpus: a pruned index of 39,666 passages instead of all 1.19 million. For the dataset’s claims and the examples below it returns the same passages as the full 2024 search. For other sentences it agreed on 39 of 60 hand-written test claims, and every result says which case applies.

What happens when you press check

  1. 1. Preprocess. Your sentence goes through the notebook’s exact cleaning: contractions expanded, punctuation stripped, stopwords dropped, Porter stems.
  2. 2. Retrieve. Its stems are compared with the tags of 39,666 Wikipedia passages: every gold passage for the train and dev claims, every passage the 2024 rule could select for any of the 1,535 dataset claims or the examples, and a random sample of the full 1.2M. For any other sentence the full 2024 search may pick passages that are not in this subset.
  3. 3. Classify. The retrained Transformer reads your stems plus the evidence stems and returns a verdict, with every word’s exact contribution.
